Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to work in a multi-starrer project

After her comeback with 'Jazbaa' this year, actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is now working on two plum films. And if a source is to be believed, she will also feature in a multi-starrer project.
Currently working on Karan Johar's 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil', and on 'Sarbjit', Aishwarya is 'to be seen alongside two of the hottest stars in Bollywood soon', a well-placed source said.
The former Miss World is 'excited and thrilled to be working on this project'.
"It will be iconic as it will be surprising, as one will get to see three unique, powerful personalities on screen," the source added.
All one can tell for now is that two other actresses will be sharing screen space with Aishwarya.

Ex-lovers Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to have a face-off next year?

Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan might have parted ways more than a decade ago, but that has never stopped people from digging up some link or the other between the actors.
Salman and Aishwarya, for the uninitiated, had a whirlwind relationship during the filming of the 1999 Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. Some time after the film, Salman and Aishwarya broke up, and gave entertainment tabloids the fuel to survive on for more than a decade.
In 2002, Aishwarya had also alleged Salman of harassing and physically abusing her. Ever since, the exes have largely tried and avoided getting in each other's way. While Aishwarya went on to marry Abhishek Bachchan, Salman has had a string of relationships - nothing 'official', though - and is supposedly seeing Romanian TV personality Iulia Vantur these days.
However, even as Salman and Aishwarya keep out of each other's lives, seems like the Box Office gods have something else in story for them.
On the work front, Salman is currently busy with Sultan, his film on wrestling, and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has been keeping Aishwarya on her toes. And if release date-speculations are anything to go by, Salman and Aishwarya might have a face-off on Diwali next year - at least their film will at the box office.
Sultan, which was initially planned for an Eid 2016 release, might have been moved to the Diwali 2016 slot to avoid a clash with Shah Rukh Khan's Raees. However, Ali Abbas Zafar's Sultan will have to clash with Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil if the former is released on Diwali 2016.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Randeep Hooda's Sarbjit goes on floors

The first look poster of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Randeep Hooda's Sarbjit

The filmmaker, who has earlier directed Priyanka Chopra's Mary Kom, has roped in Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as Sarabjit Singh's sister Daljit Kaur, whose perspective the film will be from. Randeep Hooda has been signed on to play the role of Sarabjit in the film. Richa Chadha, who has earlier worked with Randeep Hooda in Main Aur Charles, will also be seen in a pivotal role.
Sarbjit is based on Sarabjit Singh, an Indian farmer who was convicted of terrorism and spying in Pakistan and was sentenced to death there. He was attacked by inmates at a prison in Lahore in April 2013 and died a few days later.
Before zeroing in on Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to play Sarbjit Singh's sister Daljit, Omung Kumar had said in an interview, "I have not thought of any actress yet. We also have been hearing about lot of actresses being finalised for this project, but it is not true. We are looking for strong, bold, powerful, bindaas, fiery ... Feisty (actress). We are not focusing more on getting the physicality right ... We are not looking to have a duplicate of Dalbir Kaur."
Dalbir's struggle is what had inspired the director to say a yes to the biopic. He had said, "The story of Sarabjit Singh, his sister ... Her struggle for 23 years to get her brother out of jail was something that interested me. I read the story, saw videos and it just shocked ... Surprised me."
The film was supposed to have gone on floors in October this year, but it finally did today.

Salman Khan-Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam or Ranveer Singh- Priyanka Chopra’s Bajirao Mastani- which film’s version of Albela Sajan did you like more?

Salman Khan-Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam or Ranveer Singh- Priyanka Chopra’s Bajirao Mastani- which film’s version of Albela Sajan did you like more? Vote!

Sanjay Leela Bhansali always wanted to tell the love tale of Peshwa Bajirao and Mastani through his own interpretation and after several years, the same is finally happening.SLB is all set to bring to us his next Bajirao Mastani, starring Ranveer Singh as Peshwa Bajirao, Deepika Padukone as Mastani and Priyanka Chopra as Kashibai. This film was initially supposed to have Salman Khan,Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rani Mukerji as the lead cast, and the revamped one sees B-town’s current big wigs today. Though our dream of seeing Salman and Aishwarya on the big-screen may never get fulfilled, SLB has made sure to keep alive the spirit of their fabulous pairing as Sameer-Nanini from film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. We all remember the classic hit Albela Sajan Aayo Re, from the SLB’s film which highlighted the budding romance between Sameer and Nandini. This number is still fondly remembered by many and now fans will be able to enjoy a much more melodious and catchy version of it.
SLB has recreated Albela Sajan Aayo Re in his next Bajirao Mastani, which shows the romance between Bajirao and his first wife Kashibai. The song saw its release recently and I ‘ve got to say that I like it way more than the original version. The picturisation of this track is exquisite and grand, much like all the rest. The track is delicate and soothing to the ears, with melodious classical touches added to it. All in all, it’s catchy and engaging.
Priyanka and Ranveer’s chemistry in the song is sizzling. PC makes a gorgeous frame as the shy, timid Kashibai. Ranveer as Bajirao on the other hand is seen showing us his sensuous side. The equation between Kashibai-Bajirao is electrifying and engaging.

My world changed the day Aaradhya was born, says Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan may have made her comeback with Sanjay Gupta's Jazbaa but she's always been around. In commercials, at public events, you would always manage a glimpse of the superstar and devoted mother. The three years that she took off to look after her daughter has not dimmed her dazzle. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is back stronger and yes, more beautiful than ever before. In an exclusive interview withFirstpost, Aishwarya speaks her heart out on her favourite subjects, her daughter Aaradhya, husband Abhishek and of course movies.
You have been a uni-focused mother for three years now. Was there never a restlessness in you to return to acting while you were on maternity leave?
Aaradhya and I have a soul connect. My day begins and ends with her. From the moment I wake up my entire perspective on the day is centred on her. Her constant presence in my life is not even something I consciously think about it. It’s just there! And I wonder how I lived before she was born. Only a parent would understand how I feel.
Correction, only the mother has this umbilical connection.Possibly. Though I know many fathers who are equally devoted to their children. I can only speak for myself. To me my world changed the day Aaradhya was born. Everything is the same around me. But she has changed the way I look at the world. The world that I now occupy with my daughter is my reality. Everything else is a secondary.
Is Aaradhya uncomfortable with all the attention she gets at this tender age?
What is really assuring is that she has incredible resilience, by God’s grace. She has seen this (public attention) from infancy. When faced with crowds she becomes very silent and observant, as though taking it all in. Yes, she clings to me in public because there are people screaming and jostling. In fact I get more nervous when I am in crowds with her than she.
Why is that?
Look, anything can happen. Not that anyone means any harm. But in the sea of humanity even a little jostle can hurt my daughter. So I proceed protectively with her through the crowd while she remains cool. Everyone is beaming and waving and calling out her name. It’s a friendly world for her. Everyone seems to know her and she needs to know everybody. So there is no attempt to make her feel like a celebrity.
Reuters
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Reuters image.
It can’t be that easy.
I take her with me everywhere so she is a part of my multi-tasking life. I keep it as real for her as possible, and very normal. Now she is in school like any normal girl. But even when she was a toddler I’d take her to the play-park to be with other children. It becomes difficult in Mumbai. But when I’m travelling I take her out to the park . Even there, there are people who recognize us. But they are normal parents and children. Aaradhya has to have a normal life. I’ve explained to her that is my life and now she’s part of it. So she’s comfortable in it.
It couldn’t be easy to create an atmosphere of normalcy around Aaradhya?
It didn’t just happen. One has to work on it, channelize all energies into keeping it all real and normal for Aaradhya. I am glad I took time off to work on looking after her. When people meet Aaradhya they say she’s such a normal child. That’s my reward as a mother.
She is already a gadget-friendly kid.
I made sure she doesn’t spend too much on gadgets. Pa (Aishwarya’s father-in-law, Amitabh Bachchan) gifted her an IPad at a very young age. For her it is a like a book. But I never allowed her to get hooked to any gadget. I don’t want her to become one of those people who talk on the phone and to the person in front of them at the same time.
How do you now adjust your shooting schedules to match Aaradhya’s timings?
When I am shooting I start my day really early. During Jazbaa, we shot a lot on the roads and in the grime. So every morning the hair had to be washed. To keep it real on screen is not easy. Then I’d take her to school.
Did you have to tell her "Mama is going to office", like Lara Dutta told her daughter when she resumed acting?
No, you see, with me its slightly different. Even when I was not acting I was doing endorsements, events , etc. Aaradhya would accompany me to all these. Motherhood is all about planning. During Jazbaa, Sanjay Gupta phased out the shooting over 51 days according to my time constraints.
Apparently you had a special van for yourself and Aaradha on the sets?
This is a false rumour. There was no special van . Just that I kept it very hygienic. Immediately after Aaradhya’s school was over every day I’d pick her up and bring her to wherever we were shooting.
It couldn’t have been as easy as it sounds.
It’s not easy for any working mother. Every wife mother and professional has to do a lot of planning. The stuff I pack every day has to include activities for Aaradhya during the day, and her food. But I’d say I am fortunate I can bring my child to my work place. A lot of mothers can’t. It may be a lot of planning but I happily do it for my child. And I do it on my own.
What do you mean?
People assume I’ve a posse of workers helping me. Wrong! I’ve never had nurses and nannies for Aaradhya. This was partly due to ignorance. I didn’t know one could hire reliable help for one’s child. There was just one helper and she was my extended hand. Otherwise it’s just me and my daughter.
Does Aaradhya enjoy your shooting?
She gets very excited. When she’s told I'm working she is fully into the day. She has completely embraced my work.
You’re very fortunate to have a child who understands your job.
I worked on it. I had to train Aaradhya to understand that the sets, locations and camera are the family’s reality. With my first film after comeback it helped that the director was a father of two children. The locations were worked out so that Aaradhaya didn’t have to miss school.

Aishwarya-Shah Rukh Khan To Team Up Again

If all had gone well the pair would have been signed for the Devdas director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s new historical opus Bajirao Mastani.
Says a source, “Bhansali had already sounded out Aishwarya for Mastani  and was in advanced  talks with Shah Rukh for Bajirao’s part. But then the character required ShahRukh to shave his head for six months. This, Shah Rukh was not able to do due to his commitment to Rohit Shetty’s Dilwale and Rahul Dholakia’s Raees. This is whenRanveer stepped in and agreed to shave his head, and to  stay committed only toBajirao Mastani while it was being shot.”
With Shah Rukh out of the picture and Ranveer taking his place there was no way Aishwarya could be cast opposite Ranveer.
“This is how Deepika came into the picture. But Aishwarya and Shah Rukh are keen to work together. They will be doing so at the first given opportunity,” says the source.
Apparently cinematographer-filmmaker Rajiv Menon from Tamil Nadu is keen to sign and Shah Rukh and Aishwarya together.

Here is how Aishwarya Rai Bachchan celebrated Karva Chauth in London

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan with husband Abhishek

Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is currently shooting for her next flick "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" in London and thus, the actress had to celebrate Karva Chauth away from her family.
Aishwarya is reportedly very particular about this festival and she observed fast on 30 October in London.
To acknowledge her efforts, husband Abhishek Bachchan flew down to break the fast and completed all other rituals related to it.
"It was the traditional festival of Karva Chauth on Friday and just like any other Indian woman, Aishwarya followed this ritual religiously. In spite of being away from home and immersed in the shoot of 'Ae Dil Hai Muskhilin London, Ash made sure to follow all the rituals dutifully," Pinkvilla quoted a source as saying.
"In fact, she was quite determined to follow every single detail attached to the festival. The actress had observed a fast and broke it only after the arrival of Abhishek, who had flown in to acknowledge his wife's efforts," the insider further added.
"Abhishek had bought special gifts with him and also the traditional 'sargi' which was put together by the mom Jaya Bachchan."
The former Miss World got to celebrate Karva Chauth and her birthday, which was on 1 November, with her husband.
Meanwhile, after "Jazbaa", Aishwarya has many projects in her hands including "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil", Omung Kumar's biopic on Sarabjit Singh, a Mani Ratnam directorial and Sujoy Ghosh's two films.
Karan Johar's "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" features Aishwarya, Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma. The flick is being touted as a complicated love story produced by Dharma Productions.
Buzz is that apart from Ranbir and Anushka's romance, the audience will see Ranbir and Aishwarya's chemistry as well. It is believed to be a love story about a man falling for a woman older than him.
The film also has Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan in a special role. Apparently, he will play the role of a hot DJ in the film, which is slated for release in October 2016.

Abhishek to fly to London for Karwa Chauth and Aishwarya's birthday

Doting hubby Abhishek Bachchan is all set to fly to London for wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's birthday.
He will also celebrate 'Karwa Chauth' with his lovely wifey in London. The Bachchan couple are very particular about celebrating this festival. While they celebrated it at the Bachchan residence last year, the handsome couple celebrated it via Skype the year before that. It is safe to say that neither distance nor work commitments can keep this couple from getting together on Karwa Chauth.
Ash, who turns a year older on November 1, is currently shooting for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in London along with Ranbir Kapoor and Karan Johar.
Abhishek will be flying tonight and will join Ash and Aaradhya in London. The lovely family will celebrate the occasion there and then resume shooting for their respective Films.
While Abhishek will begin shooting for Hera Pheri 3, Ash will complete the shoot for ADHM.
Sweet we say!

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan talks about her weight gain

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan talks about her weight gain

Our current issue that’s on stands right now has one of Hindi film industry’s most celebrated stars of all times – Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Such is her mesmerizing beauty that no camera can ever do justice to those stunning aquamarine eyes and that world famous Venus face. She’s a goddess on our pages and she exudes a certain divinity every time the camera goes flash. And as exclusive as the photo spread, are her straight from the heart answers. In a candid chat with Editor Jitesh Pillaai, the actress has spoken vastly about motherhood, being the Bachchan bahu, her recently released comeback film and the complexities of being a celeb.

And unabashed and full of fire, this is what she had to say about here post pregnancy weight gain hullabaloo.

“I didn’t over think the fact that I had put on weight. I didn’t do anything as expected of someone who came with all the adages as me. Model beauty, titleholder, glamorous, Cannes, brands... There’s a lot of glamour and a lot of visual that is attached to me. But I stayed committed to my reality. If my body did go through this change, so be it. I didn’t play into the stereotype of what is possible. It’s an individual choice if people decide to go under the knife. I had access to that but I chose not to. I was genuinely comfortable in my skin and I got recognition along the way. Women who met me publicly, thanked me for the fact that I was giving them strength to be comfortable with the natural change. Hormonally anything can happen to a woman, your body can go through change and it’s important to remain comfortable and not let it affect your psychologically.  My comfort and my conviction to just say true, in turn, gave strength to so many women. Suddenly, it’s okay to put on weight. It’s okay that your body changes physically from health reasons or otherwise and it’s okay to choose to dress the way you want to.’’

Jazbaa movie review: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's green return gift to Bollywood

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Irrfan in a still from Jazbaa

Sanjay Gupta's Jazbaa has had the audience's attention since the day the film was announced. And it was revealed that this was the film Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had chosen to return to the big screen with. However, Jazbaa is a lukewarm comeback for Rai Bachchan. The day the trailer released, people had their doubts about the film, and the film's release just justified those doubts. But more on that later.

Advocate Anuradha Verma (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) is a single mother, whose daughter Sanaya is kidnapped from school. Not delving into the shoddy security of the school, Anuradha receives a call from a 'Private Number' after the police reach her house for their investigation. Not surprisingly, Verma is given an address and a task. Police officer Yohan (Irrfan) is suspended on corruption charges. He requests his school buddy Anu to fight for him. But of course, the task given by the kidnapper keeps her busy. She has to fight the case of a rapist and murderer inside the courtroom to ensure her daughter is safe. Thus begins the (over)emotional ride called Jazbaa.
Aishwarya's Anuradha is sincere and believable as both the lawyer whose sole aim in life is to win her case, and as the grieving mother. As Sanaya's mother, Aishwarya is extremely melodramatic and OTT, though. Sanjay Gupta makes good use of the camera to focus on Ash's arresting eyes. As Yohan, the cop-off-duty, Irrfan tries and stays true to his role. The dialogues he is made to mouth, though, are downright painful. And physically so. Sample this: "Neend mashooka ki tarah hoti hai, waqt na do to rooth ke chali jaati hai aur phir manana mushkil hota hai". The 'rishton mein bharosa aur mobile mein network' one has been dissected to the core right when the trailer was released, so not going there again.
The filmmakers deserve a standing ovation for getting together a strong supporting cast comprising veterans like Shabana Azmi and Jackie Shroff. Shabana is convincing in her role of Garima Choudhary; Jackie's accent puts one off. Siddhanth Kapoor's few-minute-long role is commendable. Chandan Roy Sanyal gets his killer act bang on.
The problem with Jazbaa lies in the overdose of melodrama and dialogues that make your ears bleed. The story isn't really anything to be praised here given that the film is an official remake of the Korean thriller Seven Days. The amount of green that is used in Jazbaa can make anyone crave for anything not-green by the time he or she exits the theatre.

One aspect that works in favour of the film is its run-time. In two hours, Jazbaa does raise some pertinent questions about the way justice is (un)delivered in the country. The music doesn't bother. The ghazal Jaane Tere Shehar Ka stands out among the rest.
In all, Jazbaa is not quite the re-entry to Bollywood Aishwarya's fans had been expecting. But she does do a largely good job of nailing her mother-in-distress act... when not screaming her lungs out or weeping her eyes out, that is. Watch Jazbaa for the performances.

There was no time for the preparations for 'Jazbaa': Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be seen doing some daring stunts in her comeback film 'Jazbaa', but the actress says it's not an action entertainer.
"The action is just a section of it. It's not an action film," Aishwarya said during a media interaction here to promote 'Jazbaa'.
In the film, Aishwarya is plays a lawyer and a mother, threatened to fight the case of a criminal, who is guilty of rape and murder.
On being asked about how she prepared herself for the character, she said: "There was no time for the preparations. It was like go to the sets and jump to shoot. I am glad that I was able to do that."
Directed by Sanjay Gupta, 'Jazbaa' has received a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification and is set to release this Friday. It also stars Irrfan Khan, Shabana Azmi and Jackie Shroff among others.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Didn't 'Carry' Jazbaa Character's Angst Home

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Stunning in a House of CB dress and Tom Ford Jacket, actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was in Delhi to promote her latest film Jazbaa. It's been five years since she last made a movie and the actress said, "I really didn't realize it had been that long, I kept saying okay, another two months, and it just kept getting extended but, well, here we are."

Aishwarya, who was to initially start with Mani Ratnam's film, clarified that the director made another film instead and "there was Jazbaa too and we said let's start with it."

It was the narrative which prompted the actress to sign up for the film. "You know, when Sanjay Gupta narrated the script, I told him that Irrfan Khan would be the perfect Yohan and Shabanaji ideal for the role she now plays. Within a week Sanjay said they are on. It was as if Jazbaa was meant to be," Ash revealed.

"Yes, it's tough being a working mom, my day starts early. I would drop Aaradhya to play school. 24 hours in a day are not enough but it's a regular job and being a mom's all about juggling work. It's no different at home," she said.

"Being mom helped me play Anuradha Verma better. Five years ago if I had done this film, I would have tried to channel myself. Motherhood brings with it additional fears but I was Anuradha and going through her angst on the sets. I don't carry work back home," she added.

So, has Aaradhya seen her 'mama ' on TV?

Aishwarya said, laughing, "I am a very basic mom. The TV remote is never in Aaradhya's hand, but yes if she sees posters of us at the airport, she does say, 'is that you?' She is aware about movies though she has never watched an entire film but I do tell her that we make movies."

Next week, Aishwarya will join the cast of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. The actress said, "It's unlike a Karan Johar film. As actors, we look forward to doing different things and challenging ourselves, and the directors have so much to offer these days." She added with a laugh, "See I am now saying it on national TV. There is a story by Vishal Bhardwaj which has both Irrfan and me interested."

About co-star Irrfan, she said, "It's the sheer brilliance of his talent and one hopes there are more films to do with an actor like him."

As actresses like Kangana Ranaut insist on pay parity, Aishwarya says 'a reality check is required' and that 'pay parity is going to take long, very long.'

Meanwhile, Jazbaa releases on October 9.

Does Aishwarya Rai Bachchan regret not doing 'Bajirao Mastani'?

Aishwarya

Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who was earlier supposed to play Mastani in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Bajirao Mastani", says she does not regret not being a part of the magnum opus project. Considered as his dream project, Bhansali was keen to castSalman Khan and Aishwarya after the success of his home production "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam" in 1999.
On being asked about the upcoming film, which now stars Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, the 41-year-old actress said, "Even at the start of this movie ('Bajirao Mastani'), there was a certain casting that he was looking for. If that was to come to be... you all know that there was a possibility of me being 'Mastani' if there was a certain Bajirao (referring to Salman) he was trying to cast. "But if that did not come to be then we had openly talked about it. It is not something to think over... fret over. Every film has its destiny and finds the way it is meant to be," Aishwarya told PTI.
The "Guru" actress, who will be seen after a gap of five years in Sanjay Gupta's "Jazbaa", said she even teased Bhansali on finally getting "Bajirao Mastani" in place. Aishwarya and Bhansali have earlier teamed up to deliver hits "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam" and "Devdas". On her equation with Bhansali, she said, "It is a very close bond that I share with him and because of that creativity we share close personal bond. My relationship with certain filmmakers is personally strong. And it is not only about work," she said.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on how Aaradhya helped her work on Jazbaa

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who is all set for her Bollywood comeback with Jazbaa opposite Irrfan Khan, claims that Aaradhya helped her essaying the role of Anuradha in the movie. “Actually having become a mother was perfect for a script like this because there is a lot of truth to the nuancing you can bring in,” the actor said.
“In terms of any dramatic moment, you can bring in a degree of truth to the sense of drama without necessarily being overt, and yet be there with all heart, every pulse, every cell of your body actually committed to that moment. Experience does bring in a lot of honesty here. That’s what made me bring a lot of integrity and truth also to the way I’ve essayed Anuradha,” she added.
In Jazbaa, Aishwarya’s character of an advocate is facing a danger of losing her daughter if she doesn’t get a criminal out by fighting his case. Elaborating on her how real-life experiences helped, Aishwarya said, “As actors, you don’t necessarily constantly refer to real-life experiences, but as an artist, experience is the greatest teacher. So you will otherwise be referencing, picking up from somebody else’s life, or from impressions which we very often don’t realize... sometime impressed by the cinema you’ve viewed. That’s the kind of subconscious imaging with which you come on the set. But having become a mother was perfect for a script like this. “
Aishwarya had taken a break from movies after her daughter Aaradhya was born in 2011. She now feels that taking care of her daughter’s needs kept her fully occupied. “For us being new mothers, there is no concept of the way time flies. You are multitasking on another level,” she said.
Directed by Sanjay Gupta, Jazbaa is set to hit theatres on October 9.

Jazbaa will be good for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

According to her charts, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s comeback film will do well and she will be lauded for her performance
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is making her much awaited comeback with Jazbaa.Aishwarya, who took a break from films and acting a few years back after becoming a mother, shall be playing an advocate in the movie. In between, the ethereal beauty had faced some harsh criticism for her post-pregnancy weight gain. But undeterred by all this, the former beauty queen refused to be in a hurry to leave behind the role of a doting mother in order to spruce up her appearance. She took her time, tackled slander with a stoic calm and now returns to make her mark yet again. But will she?
The action drama Jazbaa features Aishwarya as the central lead, while talented stars Shabana Azmi and Irrfan Khan make up the supporting cast. Will Jazbaa prove to be an able return vehicle for the lovely actress? We ask the planets…

Important Astrological Observations
Aishwarya Rai will be under the influence of a Rahu major period and Mercury sub-period, till December 12, 2017.
She is currently under the influence of Shani’s (Saturn) Saade Saati, which will end on January 17, 2023.
Ketu will be transiting through the 7th House (of public image) in her chart, till January 30, 2016.
On the day of Jazbaa’s release, there will be a Stellium of four planets in the Zodiac Sign Leo, falling in the 12th House of Aish’s Chart. These four planets are Jupiter, Mars, Moon and Venus. Sun, Rahu and the exalted but retrograde Mercury will be transiting through her Ascendant House at the time of the film’s release.

Astrological Predictions
Based on the aforementioned planetary transits and Dasha periods, we feel that Aishwarya Rai’s comeback vehicle Jazbaa will prove to be good for her.
Overall, Ash’s performance in the film will be appreciated by the audiences.
However, she will have to be ready to face some criticism for her performance, specifically from media critics.
The film Jazbaa and Aish’s performance in it will be well received abroad.
Going by the long-term stars, it is likely that Aishwarya will not be doing a great number of films in the near future. Nonetheless, she will be working pretty hard till January 17, 2023. Her performance will get refined, as she progresses towards the said time frame. She will also become more insightful and retrospective.
Overall, we feel that Ash will focus more on the quality of her work rather than the quantity of her projects for the next few years.
In conclusion, the comeback process and project will be useful for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. She will be able to attract the attention of the right audiences. However, in the coming years, her career as an actress will move ahead at a slow pace as she will chose only a few key, quality projects.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's security beefed up

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

A source says, “Aishwarya entered the party quite late and was accompanied by two of her personal security officers. As soon as news spread about her presence at the night club, a huge crowd gathered outside to catch a glimpse of her. The club’s bouncers and her security officers were no match for the surging crowd and had a tough time getting Ash out of the club. Now that the city tours are about to begin, the makers have decided to strengthen the security cover around the actress, considering her fan following.” A source working on the project states: “Recently, there have been a few cases of actors being manhandled by fans and so, we don’t want to take any chances with Ash. She will be surrounded by 15-20 bodyguards during the promotional city tours.” Akash Chawla, co-producer of Jazbaa confirms the news, saying: “The security has indeed been beefed up keeping the promotions in mind.” -

All is Well with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Says Madhur Bhandarkar

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Director Madhur Bhandarkar, who reportedly had fallen out with actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in 2011, over his film Heroine, says that things are normal between them now and he is open to working with her.

Heroine had hit headlines after Aishwarya, who was signed to play the protagonist of his ambitious project, opted out due to her pregnancy.

When asked about his current equation with Aishwarya, the director said, "It is nice. All is good and normal. If there is an interesting script I would be okay to direct her. Yes, why not?"

Heroine had to face quite a few hurdles as it was first offered to Kareena Kapoor Khan but after several meetings and discussions on the script, she had turned down the offer. However, exact reasons could not be known.

Later, the role went to Aishwarya and the film was announced at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2011. The shooting was supposed to commence from June, when Amitabh Bachchan broke the news of his daughter-in-law's pregnancy.

The producers even took the decision to stall the project for the sake of Aishwarya's health.

Almost at the verge of being shelved, Kareena was finally roped in for the film but it failed to register success at the box office.

"With Heroine I wanted to show the super stardom of an actress and her decline and what happens to her. I have no regrets for any of my films and I stand by them.

"Heroine was made at a budget of Rs 21 crores and it earned Rs 40 crores. I am happy with the way the film shaped up," the National Award-winning director told PTI.

On Aishwarya's comeback film with Sanjay Gupta - Jazbaa - he said that he liked the trailer and even tweeted about it.

The Fashion director known for making women-centric films, is excited for his upcoming movieCalendar Girls that depicts the lives of five girls, who hail from different regions of India and are selected for an annual calendar shoot.

Sonam Kapoor recently attended a brand event wearing a lovely Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla dress. The ruffled skirt made her look no less than a Disney princess. The embroidered top was a great offset against the ruffled skirt of the outfit. Sonam did her hair in soft curls and looked like a dream! Ruffled hemlines are in this season!

Bigg Boss 9': Aishwarya Rai Bachchan not to promote 'Jazbaa' on Salman Khan's Show?

Salman Khan to Re-work on Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's 'Dholi Taro' Song for 'Bigg Boss 8'

Controversial reality show "Bigg Boss" is not only entertaining, but is also a good platform to promote upcoming Bollywood movies.
In the past seasons, several Bollywood stars have promoted their films on the reality show and this year too the same is likely. "Bigg Boss 9", hosted by Salman Khan, will be aired on television from October and one big movie releasing in that month is none other than Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's "Jazbaa".
But Salman and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's fans might be disappointed, as the actress will not promote her film on the show, reports suggest.
Aishwarya Rai's "Jazbaa" will release on 9 October and thus the actress is on a promotion spree. She started the promotion of the film with reality show "Dance India Dance season 5".
Latest reports reveal that the actress will not share screen space with Salman on "Bigg Boss 9". However, this is not because the duo is not in good terms, but because "Jazbaa" will release on 9 October, while Salman's "Bigg Boss 9" will reportedly air two days after the film's release.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan My Idol, Says Former Jhalak Reloaded Contestant

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

British model-dancer Scarlett Wilson, who entertained the audience on TV show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Reloaded, said she is a fan of actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's dancing skills and looks up to her.

Scarlett is the ninth contestant to get eliminated from the celebrity dance show.

The 26-year-old model, who also performed to Aishwarya's famous song Dola Re fromDevdas in one of the episodes of the show, said she referred to the actress' grace and facial expressions for her act.

"Aishwarya is my favourite in Bollywood and she will always be my idol. Any kind of song I do, I take reference from her. When Shamita (Shetty) and I performed on Dola Re, I thought about her facial expressions, how graceful she was in the song and how she moved. I am inspired by her," Scarlett told PTI.

Of her stint on the reality show, Scarlett, who has appeared in item songs in films likeBaahubali and R... Rajkumar, said that she is happy that she got a chance to perform in front of Shahid Kapoor and top filmmaker Karan Johar, who is no more a part of the show.
"Jhalak has been the best experience of my life because of the huge platform that it is and the different dance styles I got to perform, which I wouldn't have got to do otherwise. I feel lucky to have been able to do different dance forms. One of the reasons I wanted to do Jhalak was because of its esteemed jury. I wanted Karan Johar to know that I exist. I feel blessed to have performed in front of him and other judges. It was an honour," she said.

Of all the styles Scarlett performed, she counts Indian dance form as the biggest challenge as it required her to be technically sound.

"Indian dance styles were definitely most challenging. When you are coming to to a different country and performing their dance style, you have to be good at it. You just can't mug up the steps You can't go wrong with that because you want to impress the judges and the audience," the dancer said.

Like US actress-dancer Lauren Gottlieb, who is one of the judges on the show, Scarlett also wishes to make it big in Bollywood.

"She is definitely my inspiration. I don't have dancing ability like her but the kind of success she has seen here is commendable. It feels good to see how Indian industry and audience have accepted her," she said.

The show is now left with Sanaya Irani, Shamita Shetty, Mohit Malik, Faisal Khan, Roopal Tyagi, Anita Hassanandani and Neha Marda.
